FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Find answers to common questions about our paint-to-match services, shipping, repairs, finishes, and the ordering process.

Do I need to send a painted sample from my vehicle?

Yes. For the most accurate color match, we recommend sending a small painted part from your vehicle, such as a fuel door or painted mirror cap. It does not need to be large. This allows us to match your vehicle’s actual color rather than relying only on the factory paint code.

If you send a painted sample from your vehicle, we can use it to achieve the most accurate match possible. Without a sample, we will match using your factory paint code and the standard color variant. Some factory colors have only one variant, while others may have many, which is why sending a painted sample is highly recommended.

Remove the parts from your vehicle, package them securely, and ship them to us. When your parts arrive, we will inventory and inspect them for damage and let you know they have been received. Parts are then disassembled as needed, properly prepped, primed, painted, reassembled, inspected, and packaged for return shipping.

We can paint virtually any automotive part that can be properly prepared for refinishing, including mirrors, grilles, handles, emblems, trim, chrome parts, suspension components, and more. If it fits in a box and can be shipped to us, there’s a good chance we can paint it. If you’re unsure about a particular part, include it in your quote request or contact us.

We offer gloss, satin, matte, and custom finish combinations depending on the look you’re after.

Turnaround time is typically anywhere from about 3 days to 2½ weeks after we receive your parts. Timing depends on the number of parts, the amount of preparation required, and the complexity of the finish, such as two-tone or custom work.

Package all parts securely to prevent damage during shipping. Use a sturdy box with plenty of bubble wrap or other protective material. Larger items can be securely palletized if necessary. For mirrors, you can remove the glass before shipping, or leave it installed and we can remove it during disassembly. Please make sure everything is packed securely enough to withstand normal shipping and handling.

Yes. Please include a prepaid return shipping label with your parts so they can be shipped back to you once the work is complete.

You can use whichever shipping carrier you prefer. FedEx, UPS, and USPS are all acceptable.

No problem. Send us your VIN and we can look up the factory paint information. If you also send a painted sample from your vehicle, we can use it to help achieve a more accurate match.
